FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KGO) -- A Bay Area woman has just taken the crown for Ms. Petite U.S.A.

Dania Denise from Fairfield won the competition in Largo, Florida.

The pageant has the traditional swimwear, evening gown and interview questions, but it is designed specifically for women who are 5 feet 6 inches tall and under. Denise is 5 feet 4 inches tall.

She plans to use her title to speak about the importance of arts education in schools around the country.
