7.5-magnitude quake strikes Peru

A 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck 109 miles west, northwest of Iberia, Peru.

The large quake was initially reported as a magnitude of 6.9, but has since been upgraded to a 7.5, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tsunami warning has not been issued for the area and there were no immediate reports of damage. A tsunami warning has not been issued for Hawaii or any states along the West Coast.
