The University of California San Francisco Medical Center has voluntarily suspended its donor program for kidney transplants after a donor died last month.

The cause of the donor's death isn't known and is still under investigation.

UCSF's kidney transplant program is one of the busiest on the West Coast, performing more than 350 procedures a year.
