SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon has filed charges against former SFPD Lt. Curtis Liu for obstructing a rape investigation involving another officer.

Liu is accused of discussing allegations with the officer accused of raping a woman last august, and then failing to report the information to fellow officers.

Even though Officer Jason Lai confirmed he was the person the rape victim was referring to, Liu allegedly allowed a police report to be filed with the suspect listed as unknown.
