Plane makes emergency landing at Mineta San Jose Airport

MINETA SAN JOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT -- A passenger plane with a mechanical problem made an emergency landing at Mineta San Jose International Airport this morning, an airport spokeswoman said.



Southwest Airlines Flight 346 was reporting mechanical difficulties and made a safe landing at 11:15 a.m., airport spokeswoman Rosemary Barnes said.



The plane had left Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and was destined for San Francisco International Airport, Barnes said.



The plane was able to taxi to a gate on its own power, according to Barnes.



No injuries were reported, she said.
