Kay Jewelers, a popular mall chain, is finding itself under scrutiny on Facebook. A handful of brides say they bought the lifelong guarantee for their engagement rings but when they took them back to the store for maintenance, they say the stones were switched out with fake or lesser quality diamonds.
They say independent inspections of their stones confirmed their suspicions.
A Kay spokesperson says they are looking into it and seeing what happened during the entire process. It does note that the number of issues related to this are minimal compared to the millions of brides who are happy with their rings.
