Late night shooting in Antioch leaves man in critical condition

ANTIOCH, Calif. -- Police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Saturday night in Antioch that sent one man to the hospital.



According to police, officers were dispatched at 10:15 p.m. to the 1900 block of Biglow Drive on reports of a man suffering from a gunshot wound.



Police said residents returned home to find a 43-year-old male relative inside the home, injured and lying on the floor.



The man was taken to a hospital and was considered to be in critical condition, according to police.



Investigators are actively working on gathering evidence from the scene the investigation is ongoing, police said.



No suspect information was immediately available.
