Minimum wage in San Francisco to rise to $13 an hour

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KGO) -- The minimum wage in San Francisco will increase by 75 cents to $13 an hour.

It's part of Proposition J, which was passed in November 2014.

The city's minimum wage will increase by a dollar on July 1 next year and on July first of 2018, eventually reaching $15 an hour.

Starting next year, the state will begin increasing California's minimum wage from the current $10 until it reaches $15 by 2022.
