4 arrested after officers conduct prostitution sting in Salinas

SALINAS, Calif. -- Four people were arrested in Salinas recently after police conducted a prostitution sting, police said Saturday.

According to police, officers conducted the sting in the area of East Market and Kern streets.

Augustine Santos, 35, Patricia Gaurigue, 55, Sharon Campbell, 21, and Wenona Lee 41, were all arrested as a result of the operation, police said.

Two of the suspects were arrested for allegedly possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and one had an arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance, according to police.
