MORGAN HILL, Calif. -- Two juveniles were arrested Thursday in Morgan Hill in connection with possession of a firearm and other crimes.
Police have not released the identities of the juveniles, who are from San Jose and Gilroy.
Officers with the Morgan Hill Police Department responded Thursday to the area of 15855 Monterey Road on a report of suspicious activity in the area.
The officers located two male juveniles in the area.
One of the juveniles fled but was quickly apprehended by an officer, police said.
During a search of the juvenile, an officer located a revolver cylinder that matched a .38 revolver frame that was located nearby, police said.
The juveniles were determined to be on probation and were ultimately arrested on suspicion of being in possession of unlawful weapons, resisting arrest and probation violations, police said.
Police said it is not believed the juveniles were involved in a recent shooting downtown.
