DALY CITY, Calif. -- Systemwide delays on BART are improving this morning after a power outage caused problems south of Daly City and a separate problem near Richmond exacerbated the situation.

Both problems started at about 8 a.m. The delays south of Daly City were 30 to 60 minutes at the height of the problem.

"All of that has improved," BART spokeswoman Alison Trost said.

Delays as of 9:45 a.m. were estimated at 10 to 15 minutes in both areas. Service to San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae is running regularly.

The power outage caused crews to have to manually set routes on trains traveling south of Daly City. Near Richmond a switch failed.
