SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The gift giving may be over, but police are warning that thieves are just getting started.
Police say crooks are driving around looking at trash in the hunt for houses to burglarize. They're looking for expensive items like TV's and other devices.
Officials are advising people to break down those boxes so they will fit inside recycling bins, instead of lying on the curb.
