WASHINGTON (KGO) -- A waitress in Washington D.C. has a message for divided America-- all hope is not lost.

Rosalynd Harris, a self-proclaimed liberal learned an unexpected lesson from three more conservative cowboys from West Texas who sat at one of her tables.

They left her a huge tip with a note that read: "We may come from different cultures and may disagree on certain issues but if everyone would share their kindness, like your beautiful smile, our country will come together as one people, not race, not gender--just American. God bless."

Harris said the message will stay with her long after the extra money is gone.
