ABC's 'When We Rise' has special screening in San Francisco's Castro neighborhood

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Hundreds of people in San Francisco are getting an early look at the upcoming ABC docu-series, "When We Rise."

People waited in the rain outside the Castro Theatre before the special screening started Monday afternoon.

"When We Rise chronicles the personal and political struggles of LGBT men and women who fought for equality. Some of the series was filmed in San Francisco.
