ABC7 News was in Walnut Creek Tuesday morning, where over a thousand people were without power.
Police said the outage was partly to blame on a tree branch that cracked and took out some power lines along Amberwood Lane.
On nearby Bancroft Avenue, traffic lights were out and that added some congestion to the morning commute because it's a connector to Ygnacio Valley Road.
