Grizzly Peak fire in the Oakland hills is now 90-percent contained

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A vegetation fire in Oakland that started Wednesday near Grizzly Peak Boulevard and Centennial Road and close to the University of California Botanical Gardens is now 90-percent contained.

Firefighters first responded to the fire Wednesday at 1:05 p.m.

Firefighters reached 90 percent containment of the fire Friday night.

Grizzly Peak Boulevard remained closed Friday night between South Park Drive and Centennial Road.
