Red Flag Warning issued in Oakland Hills

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Oakland from Friday night through Sunday at 10 a.m.

Officials say to expect Northerly winds gusts of 15 to 30 MPH to 50 to 60 MPH.

Residents are asked to use extreme caution and end use of flame or spark producing equipment in dry grass and brush areas and observe posted No Smoking Area signs, by Order of the Fire Marshal.

There are several Red Flag closures in place in Rockville Hills Regional Park, Spyglass Open Space, and The Serpas Ranch/Rolling Hills Open Space.

The properties will be closed until tomorrow at 6 a.m. or until weather conditions improve.
