CHICAGO -- The mother and father of a three-year-old found dead near the city's Rogers Park neighborhood are being investigated for abuse, a Department of Child and Family Services spokesperson said.

Donnell Coakley was found unresponsive in his bed by his parents around 8:40 p.m. Friday in the 6500-block of N. Seeley Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Donnell's two siblings have been taken into protective custody.

DCFS said the mother had been indicted for neglect in 2011.

No charges have been filed and police say the case is still under investigation.
