Man acquitted in Steinle murder pleads not guilty to gun charges
Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, the man acquitted of murdering Kate Steinle, pleaded not guilty to gun charges.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The man acquitted of murdering Kate Steinle was back in federal court this morning.

Jose Ines Garcia Zarate pleaded not guilty to the charges of possessing a gun as a felon, and being an undocumented immigrant in possession of a firearm.

If convicted, he could get up to 10 years in federal prison.

He's due back in court in April.
