BURLINGAME, Calif. (KGO) -- There could be some changes in store for the Broadway corridor in Burlingame.

On Monday, the city council will vote on lifting a decades-old restriction on restaurants on Broadway.

Right now, there can only be maximum of 28 eateries there.

The ordinance was adopted to protect retail stores in the area, but Burlingame merchants said more restaurants will bring in more foot traffic.

The proposal would also reduce parking time limits from 10 hours to just two hours.
