SAN JOSE, Calif. -- San Jose police are looking for a serial car burglar who's believed to be responsible for 53 break-ins dating back to October of 2014.
Twenty-six year-old Kevin Jordan of Oakland was almost captured by officers on a stake-out but he got away.
Police say he's responsible for the smash-and-grab style burglaries on a one mile stretch of North First Street between Interstate 880 and Brokaw Road.
Officers say Jordan is part of an Oakland-based burglary ring responsible for many other crimes.
