Stanford University tuition increasing by 3.5 percent this fall

Students at Stanford University.

Stanford students, or their parents, can expect to pay more for tuition.

The university's board of trustees approved a 3.5 percent tuition increase for undergraduate students.

It is set to go into effect this fall, bringing the total for undergrad students living on campus to around $60,400 a year.

Stanford will still provide free tuition for students whose families earn under $100,000 annually.
