SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- One person was injured in a standoff with a barricaded suspect Friday afternoon in San Francisco, according to police.

Police responded to an area near Third and King streets around 3:45 p.m. on a report of a suspect barricaded inside a building, according to police.

During a standoff with hostage negotiators the suspect injured one person, police said Friday afternoon.

The victim, who was not a hostage, was contacted by police when they arrived on the scene and allowed to come downstairs for medical attention. The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.

The standoff affected traffic in the area and caused delays on the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency's T-Third Line, officials said.
