Concord Boulevard reopens after fatal accident

CONCORD, Calif. -- A fatal accident closed a portion of Concord Boulevard in Concord Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The accident occurred on Concord Boulevard at Ayers Road, police said.

Fire crews responded to the intersection at about 11:20 a.m., a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District dispatcher said.

Concord Boulevard was closed in both directions between Ayers Road and Trailcreek Court. It reopened around 5:40 p.m.
