LINCOLN, Calif. -- A second child aboard an all-terrain vehicle that crashed into a pond in Placer County has now died.

The three year old boy was riding on the ATV with a five-year-old friend Sunday in Lincoln, 30 miles northeast of Sacramento.

The CHP says the boys had been riding around the property, when they somehow ended up in the pond.

No one saw how it happened.

Paramedics administered CPR to both boys for several minutes, before they were airlifted to the University of California Davis medical center.

The five year old, who lived on the property died last night. His parents were not cited or arrested, but they could face charges as the investigation continues.
