Man robbed of laptop, has car stolen after chase in SF

SAN FRANCISCO -- A man was robbed of his laptop and then had his car stolen when he chased after the suspects in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood late Tuesday night, police said.

The robbery was reported at 11:43 p.m. in the area of Geneva Avenue and Vienna Street, just west of Crocker Amazon Park.

Three suspects approached the 23-year-old victim, attacked him and took his laptop, according to police.

The suspects then fled in a white sedan and the victim pursued them in his own vehicle, which resulted in a collision between the two cars, police said.

The suspects then got out and attacked the victim again and two of them, men believed to be between 20 and 25 years old, then fled in the victim's vehicle. A third suspect fled on foot while a fourth drove away in

the white sedan, according to police.

The victim suffered injuries to his face but declined transport to a hospital, police said.
