BAY POINT, Calif. -- Firefighters have put out a one-alarm vegetation fire this morning near Pittsburg, according to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.

The first report of the fire came in at 5:40 a.m. and the nearest address to the fire is in the 800 block of Dobrich Circle, a fire dispatcher said. Dobrich Circle is just north of state Highway 4 in Bay Point, a community near Pittsburg.

The dispatcher said crews had the bulk of the fire contained by 6:05 a.m. The fire was threatening one structure, but firefighters have mitigated the threat, the dispatcher said.
