ABC7's David Louie receives prestigious Governor's Award

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A member of our ABC7 News family has received a special honor. Saturday night, reporter David Louie received the Governor's Award at the Northern California Emmy Awards in San Francisco. It's the highest honor the organization can give.

"In what other industry can you be a perpetual student? Basically going out early in the morning and figuring out what you can learn about a certain subject and turn it into a story in the evening essentially turning out a term paper, in a single day," said Louie.

David joined ABC7 News in 1972. He's told stories from many of your neighborhoods and from many corners of the world.
