SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco is gearing up to host the largest LGBT gathering in the nation this weekend. The 45th annual Pride celebration kicks off Saturday at noon at Civic Center. Festivities run through Sunday evening and include a parade, hundreds of exhibitors, and more than 20 stages hosting the biggest names in entertainment. Golden State Warriors President and COO Rick Welts will serve as the 2015 Celebrity Grand Marshal.

Sunday, June 28, kickoff at 10:30 a.m. along Market Street from Beale to 8th

TRANSPORTATION

BART: Use the Civic Center stop for the celebration and use the Civic Center, Powell, or Montgomery Street stations to access the Parade route. You can contact BART at 510-465-2278 or click here for the latest information and schedules.

Muni: Civic Center, Powell and Montgomery stations are the best stops for the Parade and Celebration. Extra buses will be operating from the Castro District as well as the Sunset and Richmond Districts. After the Parade, extra buses will be available at Market and 10th street for the return home. You can find out when the next Muni train will arrive at your stop by calling 511 and saying, "Muni", then "Departure Times." Click here for information on Muni.
