PALO ALTO, Calif. (KGO) -- Palo Alto put more money on the table to help save one of the last low-income neighborhoods left in the area.

The city council voted to match Santa Clara County's $14.5 million commitment to purchase the Buena Vista Mobile Home Park. It brings the total to $29 million.

Four hundred residents would likely be forced to leave the community if the land is sold by a private owner.
