Woman arrested in suspected homicide in Sunnyvale

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Police arrested a woman suspected of killing another woman in a Sunnyvale mobile home park on Thursday, according to the city's

Department of Public Safety.

Capt. Jeff Hunter said officers received the first report of the homicide at 12:51 p.m. at 1225 Vienna Drive. That address is listed as Plaza del Ray, a mobile home park on the north side of Sunnyvale.

Police revealed on Twitter at 4:11 p.m. that they arrested a female suspect they had detained earlier in the afternoon.

Police said the suspect is the person who called 911 to report the killing and was unarmed and cooperative when officers arrived.

This is the first homicide in Sunnyvale this year, according to police.
