Crews are searching for a San Francisco man who went missing after the boat he was in with a group of people started taking on water.

LIVERMORE, Calif. (KGO) -- Officials are searching for a San Francisco man who was last seen on a boat in Lake Del Valle on Friday. He was on a boat with several other people when it suddenly started taking on water.

Everyone on the boat jumped into the lake and swam to shore, but he was never seen again.

Alameda County dive crews will continue to search for him Sunday night and again on Monday.

Salesforce employees were at Lake Del Valle for a team building activity when a boat carrying several employees ran into trouble. "This was what they all referred to as the last trip," Regional Parks police spokesperson Alan Love said.

Love said the owner of an aluminum boat that took on water Friday night was making that final trip to shore with a group of Salesforce employees. The boat owner had shuttled multiple groups.

The last group may have been over the boat's capacity. When the boat began filling with water seven people swam to shore, but Raghavendra Indugula, 31, didn't make it. "The search area right now is approximately the size of a football field, the depth ranges from 10 to 50 feet, the bottom is hard packed rock and they are searching by hand," Love said.

A Salesforce spokesperson confirmed the missing man is a contractor in Salesforce's IT organization.

The company spokesperson released a statement by email saying: "Our thoughts are with Raghavendra's family and friends during this time. We are receiving updates from local authorities, but have no further information to share."

Several Salesforce employees were at the lake Sunday, but did not want to speak on camera. A longtime boater named Justin Galster said all privately owned boats are inspected before they get in the water. Inspectors check for mussels that can harm the lake and more. They require a life vest for every boater coming on," Justin Galster said.

East Bay Regional Parks officials confirmed that none of the boaters including the missing man were wearing life jackets. "It's best to take the recommendations of your craft as well as the local staff," Galster said.

All boats are supposed to be off the water at 6 p.m., but the boat's owner was bringing back the final group closer to 7 p.m. on Friday.
