Bicyclist dies after crash with SFPD car in McLaren Park

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- In San Francisco Friday evening a police car collided with a bicyclist, killing that person.

The accident happened in McLaren Park near Sunnydale and Persia Avenues around 9 p.m.

Investigators say the bicyclist was a man in his 20's. He apparently rode into the roadway from a trail and it was very dark when the crash took place.

Police are trying to determine if the bicyclist rode into the cruiser or if the car hit the bicyclist.
