SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Nearly 2,000 pregnant women may have been dropped from their insurance policies under Covered California.

The Sacramento Bee says the women were instead enrolled into Medi-Cal without their consent. Some are no longer able see their current doctors.

According to the paper, the women were switched after reporting their pregnancy to the state's health insurance exchange.

Covered California says its computer system is to blame for the mix-up. The glitch will be fixed, but not until September.
