CONCORD, Calif. (KGO) -- Police say Robert Bates was a violent predator who had sex with children. He was recently released from custody and has made his way to Concord.

Concord police say they are monitoring Bates' whereabouts closely, adding he wears an electronic ankle bracelet and has a chaperon 24 hours a day.

But residents don't think that's enough and are working to do something about it, including trying to see if they can force him to relocate.
