SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- In San Francisco's Mission District, hundreds of people rallied in front of a LGBT mural that has been vandalized three times.

The mural which depicts gay couples and a transgender man has been the source of contention in the Mission District.

It was first unveiled last month. Vandals spray painted the mural twice and this week it was set on fire. It was created by a collective at the Galera de la Raza which has spent $3,000 to get rid of the spray paint. Now, the gallery has to spend even more to get rid of the latest mess.
