Driver dies in solo crash with light pole in Santa Rosa

SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- A 39-year-old driver died in Santa Rosa Sunday morning after crashing a pickup truck into a light pole, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Fountaingrove Parkway near Bicentennial Way at 8:41 a.m.

An eastbound Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck reportedly went straight as the road curved left, leaving the roadway and crashing into a light pole on the south side of the road.

The vehicle's driver, Anthony Louis Devincenci of Santa Rosa, was taken to Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead at 9:17 a.m.

Eastbound Bicentennial Way is closed at Lake Park Drive, according to police.
