Family, friends attend vigil for young hit-and-run victim

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A vigil took place at 4 p.m. on Sunday for the 2-year-old girl who was struck and killed by a vehicle in a hit and run accident in San Francisco Friday night. About a dozen people, mainly family and friends, turned out at the Mission street location where she was hit.

The girl has been identified as Mi-Yana Gregory of San Francisco. She was walking in the crosswalk with her aunt and her twin brother when a car traveling eastbound on Mission Street between 4th and 5th Streets hit her at 10:37 p.m. Friday night.

The vehicle is described as a white mid-90s four-door sedan, either a Camry, Honda, or Lexus with a dark-colored mismatched front bumper and dark or black rims, according to the SFPD.

Anyone with information on the suspect vehicle or driver is asked to call SFPD. If the vehicle is seen on the road, they are asking witnesses to call 911 to report it. Anonymous tips can be made at 415-575-4444.
