SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KGO) -- A federal grand jury in San Francisco has indicted FedEx on charges of shipping prescription drugs from illegal, online pharmacies.

According to the indictment, FedEx ignored warnings from the "drug enforcement agency" and even Congress for nearly a decade. They repeatedly informed FedEx that illegal pharmacies were using its services to distribute powerful drugs.

FedEx says they are innocent of the charges brought today by the Department of Justice and will plead not guilty.
