Fire destroys vacant home in Vallejo, safety investigation underway
The Vallejo Fire Department is investigating the cause of a two-alarm fire that destroyed a vacant home.

VALLEJO, Calif. (KGO) -- The Vallejo Fire Department is investigating the cause of a two-alarm fire that destroyed a vacant home.

Fire crews arrived to find the two-story house on Sacramento Street fully engulfed in flames just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to control the flames. The two houses on both sides of the burning home received minimal damage.

Those families were allowed back in their homes once the fire was out. Nobody was injured.
