High-speed chase on Highway 4 in Martinez ends in crash, up to 16 injured

MARTINEZ, Calif. (KGO) -- Officials say a suspect was arrested following a high-speed chase and crash on Highway 4 in Martinez this afternoon.

Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle before the chase took place. At this time, the make and model of the vehicle is unknown.

At least 16 people were injured in the crash.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid Highway 4 in Martinez as it is shut down in both directions at this time.
