Oakland CHP investigating fatal accident on I-580 connector

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Oakland CHP officers are investigating after a car crashed into a tree on the connector ramp from westbound I-580 to northbound Hwy 13 early Sunday morning.

Police say the driver of the silver Honda Odyssey was pronounced dead at the scene.

They're asking any witnesses who may have seen either the collision or the Honda on 580 before the collision to contact the tip line at 1-800-TELL-CHP or the Oakland office at (510) 450-3821.
