Oakland police investigate fatal shooting

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Oakland police are investigating a shooting death outside an apartment.

Investigators say it happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of Nicole Avenue when an argument broke out among a group of people who knew each other.

A man in his 30's was shot and killed. No one else was reported injured in the shooting.

Police tell our media partner, the Oakland Tribune, that the man had just returned home from a nightclub when the shooting happened.

Police have not released the identity of the victim.

The incident is still under investigation.
