Lockdown lifted at Pinole high school following pursuit of burglary suspect

PINOLE, Calif. -- Pinole Valley High School was on lockdown this afternoon because a burglary suspect may be present in the area, police said.

The lockdown was not related to any activity originating from within the high school located at 2900 Pinole Valley Road, according to police.

Police said calls about the lockdown started coming into the department around 2 p.m.

No information was immediately available about the suspect or the burglary, according to police. The lockdown was lifted just before 4 p.m.
