SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Residents in an East San Jose neighborhood are stunned after a man was found dead just yards away from their homes, underneath the Highway 101 interchange to Interstate 280.
It happened Thursday night near Herald Avenue and Bonita Avenue. No suspects have been identified, and police say the motive is under investigation.
Police say the male victim had visible injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Neighbors say they're scared to live here.

"I saw them drinking, and you know, the ladies over here, I don't know what they're doing over here," said Laty Gaytan, a nearby resident.
Two weeks ago, another man was also found dead in the same area. The county medical examiner says he died of blunt force trauma. One neighbor it's not just the homeless that worries her.

"There's a lot of cars coming up, and I don't know, they look suspicious to me, they stop here for three to five minutes, and then they go, so why are they coming here?" asked Bernardita Contreras, who also lives nearby.
Another resident, who didn't want to be identified, says he was shaken to hear about the latest homicide in his neighborhood.
"Hearing that pretty close to where I live is pretty scary, because growing up, we would never ever worry about anything like this," he said.
