SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- The search is on in the South Bay for the driver who hit a three-year-old boy and took off last night near Roehampton Avenue and Vancouver Court in San Jose.
Authorities say the boy was walking a dog with his grandfather when the dog ran into the street and the boy chased him.
That's when a small silver car hit him and drove away shortly after. The boy lost consciousness and was rushed to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. We know he suffered cuts and bruises and may have internal injuries. The dog is ok.
Police believe the front right side of the car is damaged. They're working to put together a description of the color, make and model.
