SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KGO) -- A raid on a marijuana grow site in Santa Cruz County turned into a shootout, leaving a suspect in stable condition.
The grow was located about four miles up a trail off Highland Way near Loma Prieta.
An estimated 3,000 plants were found.
On Friday officers recovered pesticides, insecticides and fertilizers that are a threat to the environment and wildlife.
The suspect was shot multiple times and airlifted to a Bay Area hospital.
