SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- A Santa Rosa man was arrested Friday after a search warrant served at a warehouse he rented allegedly turned up nearly a pound of methamphetamine.

Felix Miller, 50, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale and transportation of methamphetamine.

Detectives from the Santa Rosa Police Department's narcotics unit and SWAT team on Friday served a narcotics related search warrant at the residence at 3367 Petaluma Hill Road in Santa Rosa.

Police said narcotics detectives had been keeping Miller under surveillance at that location.

Detectives suspected Miller, who rents a warehouse on the property but does not live there, was actively selling methamphetamine in the Santa Rosa area.

Detectives saw Miller driving in the area and pulled him over on Moorland Avenue and Todd Road.

He was taken into custody without incident, and a subsequent search of his vehicle revealed a quarter pound of methamphetamine concealed in his vehicle's engine compartment, police said.

Officers also located three-quarters of a pound of methamphetamine during a search of the warehouse, police said.

Police said Miller has prior arrests and convictions in Sonoma County for methamphetamine possession and was sentenced to state prison in 2006 for a methamphetamine transportation conviction.
