Grace Alongi, 19, was driving to her job at SFPD last month when she saw a motorcycle wreck along I-680 and tried to help.
Sky7 HD was above the scene in Walnut Creek on April 5.
Alongi tried saving the injured cyclist, who was thrown into the opposite lanes of traffic.
He died, but Alongi stayed at the scene and spoke to the victim's daughter, passing along her father's final words.
She plans on joining the academy on her 20th birthday.
