SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Three houses on the 100 block of Maynard Street were damaged early Tuesday evening in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood.

The fire, which was reported just before 5 p.m., reached two alarms as firefighters worked to control it. Smoke could be seen from I-280.

Fire officials say the fire appears to have started at 167 Maynard in the kitchen and spread quickly to two adjacent homes.

The fire has been contained and there have been no injuries reported.
